My Final Blog Entree
This course introduced the basic operation of computer hardware The entire course was pretty easy. The book was self explanatory and very easy to go about. The assignments given to use where pretty interesting. I mainly enjoyed making a video and posting that on our blog. The most complicated part of this course was operating the Mac. There’s just so much to it. I have a PC and there just easier to operate. Although I did enjoy working with a Mac. .
I am now able to demonstrate excellent keyboard skills; use excels spreadsheets and the most fun of all I think PowerPoint. Before entering this course I was a bit familiar with PowerPoint. . There is so much to learn about PowerPoint. If you are creative enough you can have a great presentation when asked for one. I have really learned a lot from this course. I thought I knew pretty much everything there is to know about PC but realized I didn’t. I really enjoyed this class and the assignments given to use. Even though I did fall a bit behind I was able to manage the work level given to us. I also missed the fourth week into the semester that really hurt my overall grade. I believe I deserve a “B”. Even though a couple of my assignments where turned in late I got them done. I would be happy with a B.

Natasha: Take a minimum of 10 pictures, excel spreadsheet, chart
Priscilla: two 15 second videos, script written out
Sean: get different audio files and sound files ready
Ryan: get some garage band files ready
Well meet tomorrow in the computer lab, put together everything that we have so far and figure out what we need to do next. That way we can have our final project ready to go first thing on week 11.

Utube what a pain in the A**!!!

The assignment today was to take a 15 second video or yourself with your phone then post it on utube. Well Ryan and I had a great video. I was really looking forward to showing this to the class. I had trouble with my phone and was unable to show it. I had a good time making this video. It was so funny. Since you can't see the video I will give u a quick review of it. Ryan was walking When a young I was trying to hit on him with a cheessy line " Hey sexy you must be tired because you've been running through my mind all day" ryan then freaked out and started running away from me. It was hilarious. Im very shy when it comes to cameras but this was fun and I would do it again.

Viruses

Viruses they freak me out. I've had a few on my laptop. Viruses can cause your computers to crash. You can loose all of the programs,music, and photos you may have stored computer. It is always better to be safe than sorry. My computer is protected by Norton and cleans out any viruses that maybe on there. I feel pretty safe with Norton. I would like to know who creates these viruses. Whoever is out there creating these viruses need to pay for all of the damage they've done to people. People pay lots of money to get viruses removed and computers restored. Some of them loose there entire computer. Someone needs to find out who out there is causing such problems. Fortunately, there is great protection out there for people to use. I believe Norton is one of them. Pop ups are one of the most annoying viruses out there. I try to keep my computer updated and clean. I clean my computer as soon as any viruses start coming around. Viruses are nothing funny they are a serious matter. I freak out when others are using my equipment and pop ups start showing up. I feel as if they may not know whats going on. Viruses AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Class was interesting today being able to go out on such a beautiful day and capture photos of our group and myself was fun. Working with Picasa today was pretty easy. Taking pictures with my group was fun Both of Sean and John seem like very cool guys. Sean is hilarious. He had some pretty interesting poses. Very funny. We took some pretty funny ones. Working with Picasa 3 is interesting. As I learn more about Picasa I will enjoy making movies, collages and more to then share these images with family and friends.
I look forward to exploring Picasa and familiarizing myself with it. Today I used Picasa to create a slideshow about me. I also learned how to send the image from my phone to my Picasa account I think that was pretty cool. Being creative is what makes every individuals work interesting. I will explore Picasa and begin to use my creativity to design my own videos and collages. I enjoy taking picture of anything and everything so this will be fun for me. I will have fun with this.

EOC Week 5

Everything that the book has is very useful information. I would recommend this book to those who have none or very little experience with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. The one thing I would like to learn how to use photo shop. Photo Shop seems like lots of fun and at the same time pretty hard and lots of work and time.
As an interior designer I would like to use photo shop to design a night club. I will design a very comfortable and upscale club. I will use vibrant colors such as silver, violet, white and gold. I will design these great lounge chairs and sofas for those couple looking for something just a bit private and comfortable. I will use lots of texture and colors on the walls. I would like for this club to become the best in town and attract all sort of people. This would be a lot of fun for all.
Another project I would like to design would be a child room. I will use the rainforest theme. I love the outdoors. And bringing the outdoors indoors would be lots of fun. I will use colors from greens, reds, orange, and browns. I will also include animals. Such as monkeys, giraffes, and birds. This will make the child feel like their actually in the wild. I will be able to modify shadows darks and lights. Having the advantage to use Photoshop will help create the designs I am looking for. Photo shop will take lots of time and lots of work. But the end results are well designed. If I get this chance I will us it to my greatest advantage.

Twitter

Twitter is a new internet base social networking and free messaging service that sends out updates to the ones who follow up. Twitter was created by Jack Dorsey. This became a corporation in May 2007. Twitter is also called a micro blogging. It is very similar to blogging the only difference is the character limit. Messages sent out by twitter users are limited to 140 characters. As soon as a twitter is posted thousands of people are able to view what is going on. This relies on messaging services such as from cell phone instant messenger such as Yahoo messenger and MSN messenger.
People will be updated as soon as the twitter is posted. Can let family and friends know what you’re doing and send a quick update. Creating an account only takes a few minutes. You will need to complete a profile including a picture. You will then need to link this to a cell phone or instant messenger. It will then allow the user to send and receive quick updates and messages from family and friends. I would like to have the option to only receive updates from certain people of organizations such as school, and work. I think twitter should only be use for similar purposes not to see how someone doing. For that you can easily just call the person or send a personal text or e-mail to them.
As a store manager I would like to have twitter available to be to be able to stay updated while I am on the go. I won’t have to go to work the next day open up my e-mail and see all sorts of updates. In order to avoid annoying people it is best to keep twitter at a minimum. I personally would only use twitter for school and work updates.

Garage Band Creations

Given the opportunity to create music with such a powerful tool will encourage me create very Instrumental music. Instrumental music can be very soothing to the brain . The type of music I will create will all of a sudden create a very relaxing feeling. Not only to the body but to the mind as well.
I would call it the Getaway. This music is good for meditation and can also be very romantic. It will ease the body and mind. This music can be heard while working out, doing any assignments. This music can help the mind concentrate during any sort of activity. There is various symphonies that make this music very interesting. One of my favorite instruments used when creating this music is the piano. The piano is such a powerful instrument has low and high notes.
Being able to use Garage Band will be a great advantage for me to be able to create such beautiful music. Garage band can provide everything I need to create such soothing music.

My music is good for all sorts of people and children. This sort of music is good for the pregnant woman. This will help her relax and at the same time that unborn child will start developing the brain. This sort of music can help any person relax during the most stressful times. I can say this from experience. Many people think of this music as plain and boring. I highly recommend for people to take the time to listen to my creation and they will realize how this music is very soothing to both the body and mind. I would also recommend for people to listen to it the next time they might be feeling scared, stressed and even angry. I like to believe that this here is the best music ever created for the body soul and mind

Week 2 EOC

The one thing that scares me the most about the Web is all the people on the web looking for a target they can aim at. Such as the pedophiles looking for innocent people they can do harm to.

As a child I was not allowed to have any sort of access to a computer for this same reason. My parents where always afraid of the pedophiles on the web. There are all sorts of websites that these types of people use to find a target. They login into these websites and target at young teenage girls. Unfortunately there is young girls out there who fall for this kind of stuff . Innocent people come up missing because this . Parents can only do so much. It is up to the kid and or person on the web to make the wrong choice and get involved with the wrong person. This is very scary to me. I have not yet ran into someone aiming at me for this reason. If I don’t know the person physically I won’t even bother getting to know that person. I for the most part know exactly what to do in a situation like this. Now as a parent I realize how scary this is to parents who have actually had a child missing because of sick people like this. It is amazingly scary how this all of a sudden spreads world wide on the web. I have younger brothers and sister and I always try to keep up with them. I believe parents should always be involved when kids are on the web. It is hard when parents work most of the time to be able to provide for their families but need to do anything possible to stay involved no matter what. Anything and everything can happen in just a matter of second.
